My Incredible Life

I don't recall much about my birth. I was born in Wisconsin and lived with my parents for 8 short weeks before departing on my life journey. A human wanted to meet me and so I was prepared for my first trip. I didn't know that I would never return to see my parents and siblings again. This is something  I wish I would have known but then I may not have wanted to leave. I wish I had some way to let them know that I am safe and I love them. I am happy. Very happy :). Thank you Mom and Dad for bringing me into this world to have the experiences and love that I've enjoyed. I wish you could experience this with me.

My life really started on the day I was placed into a crate and loaded onto an airplane headed to Southern California. It was an emotional day. I didn't know what was in store for me. It was the first time I was separated from my parents and siblings and I didn't know where I was going or what to expect when I arrived. My crate was loaded into the airplane cargo area. I remember it was dark, cold, noisy, and extremely frightening. I was shaking and I missed my family already. I felt like I was moving and could feel the change in pressure. I had no idea what to expect or how long this would last but I cried because I was scared. After what seemed an eternity, I  heard loud noises and then felt a large jolt. There were screeching sounds and things I could not understand. I didn't know if this was the beginning or end of a nightmare.

Finally, I saw light. There was relative calm but a lot of commotion. I felt my cage being moved again and I could see humans all around. I never saw so many people! I was frightened and a mess and I just wanted be back in the comfort I felt when I was with my mom.

Then a human approached my cage. I remember seeing these big shiny eyes, a huge smile, and excitement - for me! This is when I met my savior, Andy. It was love at first site and I knew that I was meeting someone special.  I couldn't wait for him to hold me.  He drove us to his home where I was given my first bath. That's when the love started. I got so much attention, hugs, and kisses. This is where the story of my life begins.
